Lauren
Lauren was always an intricate part of our staff ever since she started in February of 1995. She worked tirelessly to help make Animal Medical Center the quality hospital it is today.
Unfortunately, Lauren passed away February 23rd, 2008. We will always remember the wonderful and caring person she was and always keep her in our hearts.
A Prayer for Lauren LaPlante
Dear God, I miss my friend. I carry her memory with me wherever I go. I pray that you will remind me that she remains a part of me in everything I do, and everything that I am. Continue to show me that she is still a part of my life and that nothing can separate us. I ask that you keep the bonds between us strong in spirit until the day that we are reunited in heaven.

| Mike
Mike joined our staff as a veterinary technician in June of 2001. He is often assisting our veterinarians with surgery. He oversees patient comfort by administering sedation and pain medications before and after procedures as needed. His special interest lies in Orthopedics. He currently resides in Chicago with his wife and Jack Russell Terriers, Bailey and Elsie. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with is wife and dogs, watching his favorite soccer team -Manchester United, and riding motorcycles. In the future, he hopes to find the perfect house and plans return to school.

Andrea
Andrea joined our technician team in October of 2001. She possesses a "knack" for making our patients feel comfortable during their visits to our clinic. In 2001, Andrea graduated with her Associates Degree from Oakton Community College. She currently resides in Chicago with her husband and three pugs named Holly, Layla, and Payton. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, skiing, running, and spending time with her nephews. In the future, she plans to return to school and start a family. |

| Caroline
Caroline joined our team in April of 2002. She currently is attending veterinary school at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Because she is at school most of the year, she is a seasonal worker at AMC. She loves all kinds of animals and she is always on top of things to make sure that all patients and boarders are healthy and happy.

Shannon
Shannon joined our team as a veterinary technician in January of 2008. In addition to being a technician, she is also the AAHA Coordinator, as well as the Employee OSHA Safety Coordinator. She graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in December 2008, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Chemistry. She was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and now resides in Park Ridge with her Fiancé and Pit Bull named Rock. In her spare time, she enjoys fostering dogs through an organization called Habitat for Hounds, playing Bingo, cooking, and watching scary movies. |

| Melissa N.
If your pet has walked in our door, chances are, he or she has been greeted by Melissa's warm and friendly embrace. She manages to 'fuss' over every furry friend to make their visit to our clinic a positive one. Having two dogs of her own Rocco (Maltipoo) and Ellie (Terrier Mix), she knows first hand what it is like when your family member becomes sick and needs veterinary attention. Melissa serves the key role as Office Manager as well as the Head Receptionist for Animal Medical Center. She has been an invaluable member of our team since March of 1997. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, traveling, watching movies, and going to concerts.

Melissa's ability to help clients with their questions and various needs is an asset we greatly admire. She joined our staff in August of 2004. Melissa was born and raised in Chicago and has three dogs named Toby (Shih Tzu), Monty (Airedale Terrier), and Snocone (Bichon Mix). In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, watching movies, and going to concerts. In the future, she plans to return to school. |

Corrie
Corrie joined our receptionist team in May of 2005. Having a soft spot in her heart for all animals and a compassionate nature, she manages to make our clients and patients feel right at home when they walk through our doors. She is a valuable asset to our hospital. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband and two sons. Her pets include 3 cats named Spoogie, Cubby, and Bullie, a Boxer named Mac, a cockatiel named Kuko, and a Sucker fish named Blackie. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

| Tiffany
Tiffany joined the AMC team in November of 2006. She was born and raised in Chicago, IL and lives with her pride and joy Maltipoo named Pierre. She also has two family pets that include a Domestic Shorthair cat named Chicken and a mouse named Peanut Butter. In her spare time she enjoys playing Bingo, dancing, walking Pierre in the forest, watching Disney Movies, baking cakes, and performing Karaoke. In the future, she hopes to travel to Australia and get another dog.

Tijana (Tina)
Tijana was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated in Serbia from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She now resides in Skokie, IL with her husband. Her areas of special interest are assisting in surgery and phlebotomy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, running, walking, and reading a good book. In the future, she plans to take the Veterinary Licensing Exam, start a family, and buy a house.

| Amanda
Amanda joined the AMC team in June of 2008. She was born and raised in Skokie and now resides in Des Plaines, IL with her best friend. She has an Associates degree from Oakton Community College and is currently studying to be a personal trainer. Her special area of interest is helping to prepare patients for surgery. Her pets include 4 cats named Zoe (Domestic Shorthair), Romeo (Domestic Shorthair), Anya (Domestic Longhair), and Juliet (Domestic Shorthair), as well as 3 dogs named Lady, Nala (Spaniel Mix), and Cujo (Pitbull). In her spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, going to movies, shopping, and drawing.

Rich joined our team in December of 2007. He currently works here part time (because of his love for animals) and has a full time career as a Radiology Technician for over the last 32 years. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Radiology. He currently lives in Chicago with his partner and three dogs: Shemp (Shetland Sheepdog), Wiggles (Lab/Beagle Mix), and Jasper (Shetland Sheepdog Mix). In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his 3 dogs, listening to music, and playing chess. In the future, he hopes to have his two shelties on regular exercise programs so that they can maintain a healthy weight and be healthier overall.

Irina joined our team in January of 2008. She was born and raised in Russia, and currently resides in Evanston, IL, with her husband and two daughters. She graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University (Russia) in 2007, with a MS in Radioastronomy and Solar Physics. Her special area of interest lies in exotic animal medicine. Her pets include a French Lop rabbit named Visloushek and two parakeets named Tima and Roma. In her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving and mountain climbing. In the future, she plans to get her PhD. in Astronomy and climb Elbrus Mountain.

Alma joined our team on January of 2008. She currently resides in Chicago, IL with her boyfriend. Her area of special interest lies in Radiology. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening. In the future, she hopes to start school and find the perfect puggle.

Kalynn
Kalynn joined the AMC team in January of 2009. She currently lives in Chicago with her father, cat named Jasmine (DSH), and hamster named Gandalf (Russian Dwarf). She graduated from Kansas State with a BA in Sociology and currently attends Oakton Community College completing prerequisites for veterinary medicine school. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, crafts, and playing Guitar Hero. In the future, she hopes to attend veterinary medicine school and get a Yorkie.
